Your PIN

A PIN is 6 digits that you choose. When your account has one, it is asked after the SMS code whenever you sign in on a new device. It keeps the account yours even if someone else gets your number, for example after a phone company gives your old number to someone new.

Set it, change it or remove it in Settings, Security. Pick digits that are hard to guess, not your birth year.

After too many wrong tries, the PIN is paused for a while, and the pause grows with each new series of wrong tries.

If you forget your PIN, choose I forgot my PIN when you sign in. To protect you from someone who has your number, you can then enter without the PIN only after 7 days in which the account is not used. If the account is used during that time, the wait starts again. Every sign in of this kind is recorded.
