Reporting and blocking

Every post, comment, profile and chat message has a report action. Choose the closest reason. A person reviews it, and the reason decides who looks at it and how fast. Anything about child safety goes to the front of the queue at once. The person you report is never told who reported them.

Reporting a chat message sends us a signed copy of that message only. Reporting a photo sends us its key, so a reviewer can open that one photo while it still exists. Nothing else in the chat is shared. Copies of reported messages are deleted 30 days after the report, unless the review is still open.

A post that gets several reports from people who are not connected to each other is hidden automatically until a person reviews it.

Blocking someone hides you from each other: they cannot message you, see your posts or find you in search, and they are not told. You can unblock people in Settings, Privacy, Blocked people. Unblocking does not make you friends again.
